Los Angeles Football Club are coming off probably their most surprising result of the season, a 3-1 loss to a bad Chicago Fire team.

Chicago got up early, and never really looked back. Still, it’s hard to win on the road in MLS, and every team has a bad result or two throughout the season.

LAFC has every motivation to bounce back in this game, and not just because they are professionals and want a good result.

A win against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday would clinch a playoff berth for LAFC, the crown jewel of what has been an amazing first season for LAFC.

The Rapids, similarly to the Fire, have struggled this season, but if last week is anything to go off of, LAFC can’t take any opponent for granted.

Kellyn Acosta has done well since his transfer from FC Dallas, and Jack McBean has turned into a capable MLS starter as a forward since leaving the LA Galaxy.

Colorado likes to counter, so look for LAFC to have a majority of the possession.

One area in particular that LAFC have struggled in is the connection (or lack of connection) between Carlos Vela and Adama Diomande.

Dio came into form when Vela was at the World Cup, and since the two have started playing together consistently, they have failed to be on the same page, and failed to connect more than a couple of passes.

This is an area LAFC are looking to help fix, and if it does not improve, look for maybe Christian Ramirez to get some more playing time up front.

Prediction: LAFC 2, Colorado Rapids 1. LAFC clinches a playoff berth with a close win over Colorado.
