How to Watch Colorado Rapids vs. LAFC: Lineups, game thread, live updates

MLS: Colorado Rapids at Los Angeles FC Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Full time: LAFC 3, Rapids 0. LAFC dispatched Colorado rather easily, with the home side not even posting a shot on target until the dying minutes. And best news: LAFC are officially in the playoffs! You can check out the final recap here.

48th minute: GOOOOOOOOOOOOL LAFC! Diomande has his second of the night, taking a feed from Kovar and blasting it by Howard. 3-0 lead!

42nd minute: GOOOOOOOOOOOAL LAFC! Adama Diomande takes a feed from Lee Nguyen and slots it past Howard. Two-goal lead for the visitors.

15th minute: GOOOOOOOOOL LAFC! Walker Zimmerman scores off, you guessed it, a corner kick. LAFC leading! Good start!

5th minute: Just wide! Diego Rossi gets a breakaway, but Tim Howard comes to cut off the angle and throws the Uruguayan off, who sends his shot just wide of goal.

Lineups:

LAFC make a couple changes, based on injury absences/returns. Danilo Silva is back in the XI and Aaron Kovar is too, replacing the injured Eduard Atuesta:

Here is the Rapids’ lineup, presented in alphabetical order:

Los Angeles Football Club are looking to book a ticket to the 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs, and they can accomplish that straightaway with a win over the Colorado Rapids in Commerce City, Colorado on Saturday evening.

LAFC remain in third place in the West and have a clear objective, while the Rapids have lost six games in a row. Of course, I think most of us expected LAFC to perform a lot better against another struggling opponent last week in the Chicago Fire, so it’s not worthwhile to take the Rapids lightly. That said, they’ve been horrible lately, so LAFC really need to capitalize on poor form and a general sagging morale for the Rapids.

No suspensions on either side for this one. Can LAFC bounce back from last week’s loss with a historic win? We’ll find out where the black-and-gold are after game 31 of their debut regular season.
