USL announced on Monday their All-League teams for the 2018 season, and two Orange County SC players were included.
Forward Thomas Enevoldsen and midfielder Aodhan Quinn were both named to the USL All-League first team.
Enevoldsen scored 20 goals and nine assists in his debut campaign in USL. That goals tally put him second for the Golden Boot, eighth leaguewide in assists, and he was the first player in team history to notch 20 goals in a season.
Quinn had 11 goals and 14 goals in his first season with Orange County. His assists tally was good for second in the league in helpers, and he’s part of a select group of players to put together a “double-double” season of double-digit goals and assists in a USL season.
Enevoldsen and Quinn join previous USL All-League first team selection in club history Nelson Akwari (2011). Bright Dike (2012), Erlys Garcia (2012), Matt Fondy (2013), George Davis IV (2013), Allan Russell (2014), and Brenton Griffiths (2015) were USL All-League second team selections for the club. You’ll notice that since the league really expanded beginning in 2015, Orange County haven’t had a lot of representation on the All-League teams, so this is a pretty big deal.
Both players are also finalists for USL MVP, so it’s an indication of how good Orange County’s season was, and how each of their seasons went. Congrats to both Thomas and Aodhan on the honors.
