Orange County SC has signed former Greek Super League defender Kontor Owusu-Ansah, pending league and federation approval.
Owusu-Ansah most recently played for Larissa F.C. in the Greek Super League and spent time with Metalac Gornji Milanovac and FK Novi Pazar in the Serbian Super Liga.
“I’m very excited to have added an exceptional young talent like Kontor. He comes with a great deal of experience having played against teams such as Olympiakos and Panathinaikos in this past year,” said Orange County SC Head Coach Braeden Cloutier. “Kontor is an extremely athletic player with great technical ability. He will be an exciting player for the Orange County fans this season.”
Owusu-Ansah, who was born in Ghana, started his career in 2011 with Metalac in the Serbian Cup and debuted in league play less than a week later against FK BSK Borca. He had 85 appearances for Metalac thorugh 2015 before joining FK Novi Pazar. A year later, he signed with AEL F.C. (Larissa FC), making 19 appearances with the club in Greece.
