Los Angeles Football Club played their second preseason game on Friday, hosting New York City FC at UCLA. The game ended 1-1.

Marco Urena opened the scoring in the 16th minute, slotting home a feed from Latif Blessing.

It is Ureña’s third goal in two preseason games.

The game was tied up through a 56th-minute tally from NYCFC midfielder Alexander Ring.

There were no surprises in this match as far as players who participated for LAFC. Carlos Vela made his debut after sitting out last week, Mark-Anthony Kaye made his debut after his transfer from Louisville City was announced this week, and Laurent Ciman, Omar Gaber and Luis Lopez sat out due to already-known injuries.

Here is the lineup info for LAFC from Friday’s match:

Tyler Miller (GK); Joao Moutinho, Walker Zimmerman (Calum Mallace, 63), Dejan Jakovic (Jordan Harvey, 45), Tristan Blackmon (Steven Beitashour, 45); Niko Czornomaz (Pol Calvet Planellas, 63), Benny Feilhaber (Tristan Blackmon, 63), Latif Blessing (Rodrigo Pacheco, 65); Carlos Vela, Marco Ureña (Mark-Anthony Kaye, 42), Diego Rossi (Shaft Brewer, 76)

Blackmon and Calvet Planellas are MLS draft picks that have not had contracts announced as of yet, and Czornomaz and Brewer appear to be on trial and played for the second straight game. Miller and Vela were the only players to go the full 90.

LAFC’s next preseason game is scheduled for 10 days’ time, also at UCLA and against Vancouver Whitecaps FC. This game is another closed-door friendly, but last one on the docket before the big Sacramento Republic friendly, and to their credit LAFC have been good about releasing information about these games and in short order.
