86th minute: GOAL! Carlos Vela scores his first in MLS. Can you believe this?!

81st minute: Goal! Rossi notches his second of the day. LAFC are pouring it on!

47th minute: Goallllll!!!! Benny Feilhaber with an easy one in the box through Nick Rimando’s legs. LAFC now up 3-1.

38th minute: Off the post! Rossi is teed up and can’t get it inside the goal. Will LAFC regret that?

33rd minute: Goal!! Latif Blessing puts LAFC ahead after some great attacking play, except LAFC appeared to be offside two separate times. The goal was reviewed and upheld! LAFC get a huge break.

30th minute: Goal!!!!!! Diego Rossi has two goals in two games to tie it up for LAFC.

20th minute: Tyler Miller saves the penalty! But Plata follows up the rebound and scores to make it 1-0 RSL.

19th minute: Dejan Jakovic called for a foul in the box on Joao Plata. He missed the ball and the man, but the penalty was called after a review.

15th minute: Close call! LAFC nearly let an own goal in after Luis Silva’s header on a corner bounces off Laurent Ciman in the box, but it goes just wide. Still scoreless.

6th minute: Almost! Carlos Vela’s shot is saved near the line by Demar Phillips. So close to a dream start yet again for LAFC.

Los Angeles Football Club try to kick off a winning streak in their second-ever game on Saturday afternoon, as they face Real Salt Lake on the road.

As expected, LAFC are using the same starting XI as they had last week, with Laurent Ciman the captain and Mark-Anthony Kaye retaining his spot in central midfield. Aaron Kovar is on the bench for his first game eligible.


So Marcelo Silva was in fact too hurt to play for RSL, so David Horst slots in at central defense alongside Justen Glad.
