Gio Dos Santos Voted MLS’ Most Overrated Player (lol)

In a survery of 104 anonymous Major League Soccer players done by ESPN, 11 percent of voters said Giovanni dos Santos of the LA Galaxy was the most overrated player in the league, just edging out Michael Bradley of Toronto FC. Dos Santos succeeds Mix Diskerud, who was voted most overrated in two consecutive polls. Also receiving votes were Jozy Altidore, Paul Arriola, Gyasi Zardes, Tim Howard, Darlington Nagbe, and LAFC’s own Benny Feilhaber. Meanwhile, Montreal’s Ignacio Piatti was voted most underrated, with one player saying he is a top five player in the league.

U.S.-led World Cup Bid is not getting backlash over Administration

U.S. Soccer president Carlos Cordeiro, co-chairman of the joint bid with Mexico and Canada to host the 2026 World Cup, says he has received no backlash from prospective voters over policies or statements from the current President of the United States. The United bid is going up against one opponent for the rights to WC2026: Morocco, who would have to spend over $16 BILLION in stadiums and training grounds, and that is not even mentioning hotels and other infrastructure for what will be the first 48-team tournament. Morocco has been gaining some momentum due to resentment for the actions of the U.S. Department of Justice in the FIFA investigation and indictments, and some have expressed concern about the current President’s language and statements, as well as some considered policies.

Liverpool have said they will not consider any offers for the Egyptian Winger, as Real Madrid and Barcelona are reported to, understandably, have interest in the EPL’s leading scorer. In 32 Premier League games, Salah has 28 goals, plus another seven in other competitions.
