Orange County SC’s U-18 team continued their run at the 2018 Dr. Pepper Dallas Cup, one of the most prestigious youth tournaments in the world, after they beat Arizona-based Barça Academy SC by a whopping 7-0 scoreline in the quarterfinal round of their bracket.
The win comes after their final group stage game, when a goal in the waning minutes of their final group stage match helped Orange County SC’s U-18 squad prevail against Toronto FC’s U-18s.

The U-18s opened group play with a 2-1 win over FC Dallas Youth Premier on Monday. That followed with a 1-1 draw against Miramar United Elite FC Red the following day.
After taking Wednesday off, OCSC pulled off its group-winning victory over Toronto.
With the win over Barça Academy, Orange County will take on the winner of the Roadrunners SC Premier-TSF Academy quarterfinal on Saturday in the semifinal round. For it being Orange County’s first participation in the Dallas Cup, that’s an impressive showing so far. Good luck the rest of the way!
