Vote: LAFC Man of the Match vs. LA Galaxy

A few candidates from an up-and-down match.

MLS: Los Angeles FC at Los Angeles Galaxy Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Well, after the epic collapse/gut punch/first ever loss for Los Angeles Football Club, voting for a Man of the Match among the LAFC players may feel weird. But think of it this way: LAFC actually played pretty well for like 50 minutes.

Seriously though, the team couldn’t see out the win that appeared all but sealed at the hour mark, but that doesn’t mean there weren’t good performances. Here are the three nominees for LAFC Man of the Match, as selected by Angels on Parade staff:

Diego Rossi: The Uruguayan did not score this time around, but he set up both of the goals scored by LAFC players. Connected well with his teammates in attack yet again to set the tempo for LAFC.

Marcos Ureña: The Costa Rican put in another tireless shift, set up the own goal to make it 3-0, assisted one of the goals, and did the dirty work in stretching defenses for his teammates, holding up play and bringing his teammates into the attack.

Carlos Vela: Scored both of the goals from LAFC players, and both were impressive in their own way. The first was just a straight-up golazo, and the second was a patient, skillful finish through a broken play.
