If you’re new to MLS, the league does a contest each week that involves fan participation: Goal of the Week. It’s a popular vote among five nominees (no bot votes, please), and it’s a way to recognize fantastic goals each week.
Los Angeles Football Club have a player in the running after Week 1 of the 2018 season, in forward Diego Rossi. His tally, the first in club history, against the Seattle Sounders on Sunday, is not only the winner for the expansion team, but that goal (which was a banger) is up for MLS Goal of the Week.
Here’s what you need to do: Go to this page and vote for Rossi. Do it by midnight on Wednesday. That’s it! Oh, and tell everyone you know to make sure he gets the prize.
There are a few fanbases (cough, Seattle and Atlanta) that have large numbers in the polls for this award, so the big thing is you need to vote to ensure victory for your man/the goal you want to win. Don’t hesitate here. Even if there’s a big lead when you check it, don’t assume it will stay that way. Trust me. Go vote.
