Thanks to his brace in last weekend’s 405 Derby, Orange County SC midfielder Mark Segbers was named to the USL Team of the Week.

Segbers, from St. Louis, Missouri and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, is on a season-long loan from New England Revolution and was the 9th overall pick in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.

He scored two of OCSC’s three goals in the win. It was the third win in a row for OCSC and moved them into first place in the USL Western Conference (3-1-1), tied on points with Swope Park Rangers and Sacramento Republic FC but ahead on goal difference.

His first goal came in the 45th minute on an assist by Michael Seaton while his second came in the 58th minute thanks to an assist by Koji Hashimoto – who also picked up an assist on the third goal by Nansel Selbol.

On the season, Segbers has four shots – three on target – and is second on the team with his two goals.

Orange County SC will travel to Toyota Field to take on San Antonio FC at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14.
