Horta is on loan at Braga from fellow Portuguese club Benfica, and he has become a regular in the side ahead of his move to Major League Soccer.
He has made eight consecutive starts for Braga, who are currently riding an eight-match unbeaten streak with seven wins and one draw, and who are sitting in fourth in Portugal, just three points behind Sporting. During that eight-match stretch, Horta has two assists. He also scored for Portugal’s U-21 side against Switzerland in European Qualifying.
Horta was signed late in March as LAFC’s third DP behind Carlos Vela and Diego Rossi, and is set to join the Angels most likely in the summer transfer window. If Braga release him from his loan before May 1, he could join earlier than when the window opens in July, but given his current run of form, that may not happen. Regardless of when he joins, Horta is an exciting talent, and will provide an immediate boost to Bob Bradley’s midfield.
