Vote: LAFC Man of the Match vs. Sounders

Who shined above the rest at the first home game?

MLS: Seattle Sounders at Los Angeles FC Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

What an unforgettable night! Los Angeles Football Club inaugurated their new home with a victory, coming in dramatic fashion, with Laurent Ciman scoring in stoppage time to post a second straight 1-0 victory over the Seattle Sounders.

So following the win, who was the Man of the Match? Angels on Parade staff have nominated three players for the game. Please vote below and spread the word!

Laurent Ciman: The General stepped up on both ends, playing a game that combined smart defensive play, cutting out the mistakes of the last game and making a few key clearances. And on the other end, he scored the winner. The guy is on a scoring streak!

Benny Feilhaber: The midfielder didn’t earn the plaudits, but helped do the dirty work against one of the best in Ozzie Alonso to help keep the visitors off the board. Feilhaber looks like he’s really growing into his role as a holding midfielder.

Carlos Vela: He earned the free kick that led to the winner, and looked like he was on a different level than the rest of the players all night. The only thing he needed was a goal or assist for his effort, but he played exactly the kind of game you’d expect.
