LAFC to lease downtown Los Angeles space for headquarters

Team to utilize 25,000 square feet space for operations.

Now that the season is underway and a rhythm has been established on the field, Los Angeles Football Club is spending time working on its front office.

The next part of that is establishing a permanent headquarters.

With that, LAFC has entered into a lease agreement for 25,000 square feet of office space on W. 7th Street in downtown Los Angeles, right by the Staples Center and LA Live, and just up the road from Banc of California Stadium. According to the Los Angeles Business Journal, the team worked with CBRE Group, Inc. to lease space in the 12-story office building.

The building is owned and managed by LAFC owner Goodwin Gaw. While the release the Business Journal cited quoted Gaw as saying it was a “real honor” to house LAFC’s offices, the connection makes it pretty logical in the grand scheme of things.

Tom Penn, LAFC’s president and co-owner said the team is “extremely excited” to move into the new building, according to a statement cited by the Business Journal.
