Vote: LAFC Man of the Match vs. Portland Timbers

Tough result, which player stood tallest?

MLS: Los Angeles FC at Portland Timbers Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Football Club had a tough result on Saturday, falling for the first time in over two months, as they lost 2-1 to the Portland Timbers.

Win, lose, or draw, we hold Man of the Match votes for every game, and while there’s bound to be some frustration, we do think there were some performances that stood out for the right reasons on the day.

So now, it’s your turn to decide which LAFC player stood above the pack and deserves the recognition after the Timbers game. The nominees were selected by Angels on Parade staff, as always:

Latif Blessing: Put in a trademark spirited performance for 90 minutes. Suffered a team-high three fouls for the cause while trying to stretch the field for the visitors.

Jordan Harvey: Made a goal line clearance, had four tackles, and seven recoveries while staying active on the left all match.

Carlos Vela: The game required a moment of magic for LAFC, and Vela supplied it with a golazo against the run of play. In the end, it unfortunately wasn’t enough for a result.
