How to Watch Orange County SC vs. Reno 1868 FC

Can OC keep pace against a hot opponent?

Orange County SC are back on home turf on Saturday night, as they’ll host Reno 1868 FC for the teams’ first meeting of the 2018 USL season.

OC are coming off a good, albeit perhaps a bit fortunate, win in the 405 Derby against LA Galaxy II, and will feel like they’re getting their mojo back after a bit of a dip in form in recent weeks. Reno, however, may be the hottest team in the Western Conference these days, 10 games unbeaten in USL play and not dropping a game for two full months. They’ve got a familiar face on their team, in Jerry van Ewijk, who was OC’s most consistent scoring threat last season.

Since these teams haven’t played yet but they’ve settled into the season, it will be an interesting test on both sides. Given these teams are right next to each other in the standings — Orange County in 6th place, Reno in 7th — both sides will be eager for three points to keep pace in the playoff hunt. You never know, but this should be a good game.

Also, after the game, Orange County SC will be showing “The Incredibles” at the stadium. So bring your family, some blankets, and enjoy the summer evening.

Tale of the Tape:

Orange County SC: 23 points (7-4-2), 6th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: +12; Last five games: W-L-W-D-L

Reno 1868 FC: 21 points (5-3-6), 7th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: 0; Last five games: D-W-W-D-W

How to Watch Orange County SC vs. Reno 1868: The game is scheduled to kick off at 6 pm PT at Orange County Great Park in Irvine. You can watch the stream only on ESPN+.
