Sunday was a mixed bag for Concacaf teams at the World Cup, and therefore for Los Angeles Football Club players involved in the proceedings.

In the day’s early game, LAFC forward Marco Ureña started, led the line up top and went 66 minutes in Costa Rica’s 1-0 loss to Serbia in Group E. Serbia grabbed the win in the 56th minute courtesy of a free kick goal by Aleksandar Kolarov.

The good news is it’s only one game, Costa Rica have two more to go but the bad news is the games won’t get any easier, as they still have to face Brazil and Switzerland in group play.

Speaking of, Costa Rica’s next game is on Friday against Brazil in St. Petersburg. Ureña and the Ticos have some time to rest, shake off this game and try to give it a big go against one of the tournament favorites.
