Orange County SC are looking to keep up in the Western Conference and will face Tulsa Roughnecks FC for the second time this season on Saturday night, this time at home in Irvine.
OC are in the hunt in the West, and Tulsa are still mired in a bad season, still winless after 14 games. The last time these teams met, Orange County routed them 5-0 in Tulsa at the end of March. On paper, this looks like a game OC should win, but Tulsa’s luck is bound to change at some point. If Braeden Cloutier’s group comes out too relaxed, it could lead to egg on Orange County’s faces.
Alex Crognale is back with Orange County this week, and while they’ve done well in his absence, his return does help bolster a central defense that is in very good form these days.
But OC are in a good position, yet in need of some more wins to keep them plugging along in the standings. Can they get the result against a struggling side? We’ll find out this evening.
