Vote: LAFC Man of the Match vs. Columbus Crew SC

Which player stood out at The Banc?

MLS: Columbus Crew at Los Angeles FC Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Football Club won a second consecutive game in MLS regular season play, and grabbed their second win of the week in all competitions, with their 2-0 win over Columbus Crew SC on Saturday at Banc of California Stadium.

Laurent Ciman scored on his return to the team from international duty, and Adama Diomande continued his hot start to life in Southern California with a goal. The team kept a clean sheet, too, against a team that’s been pretty good in attack this season.

So with that, let’s open up the polls to determine Man of the Match for LAFC, based on nominations from Angels on Parade staff:

  • Latif Blessing: Another busy shift for the Ghanaian. Didn’t get on the scoresheet, but kept Columbus’ defenders occupied all night.
  • Laurent Ciman: Returned to the lineup with a clean sheet, a win and a now-trademark goal.
  • Adama Diomande: The Norwegian has four goals in four MLS games, after scoring the insurance tally in this one.
  • Benny Feilhaber: Helped set up Diomande’s goal and played a very steady shift a few days after his up-and-down U.S. Open Cup performance.
