How to Watch Saudi Arabia vs. Egypt, 2018 World Cup

Will Omar Gaber get a shot to play in the big dance?

It will be the swansong for Saudi Arabia and Egypt at the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Monday, as the countries play in their Group A finales having already been eliminated from advancing to the knockout stage in the tournament.

It’s been rough sledding for both teams, as Saudi Arabia lost 5-0 to host country Russia and 1-0 to Uruguay so far, and Egypt, expected by many to advance at the expense of Russia, losing 1-0 to Uruguay and 3-1 to Russia. So if nothing else, this game will give the two teams a chance to end the tournament on a high note.

One thing to keep an eye on from a Los Angeles Football Club perspective will be to see if midfielder/defender Omar Gaber will see the field in this match. Gaber has been an unused substitute so far for Egypt — it would be nice to see him get some time, here’s hoping he’ll get some action in Russia on Monday.
