Who stood out for the Black-and-Gold?

MLS: Portland Timbers at Los Angeles FC Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Football Club continued their hot start to the season, although they put in their first scoreless draw ever, against the Portland Timbers on Sunday at Banc of California Stadium.

The goals may not have come, but if nothing else it was a good game for one side of the ball, right?

Now it’s your turn to select your LAFC Man of the Match, with the nominees selected by Angels on Parade staff:

  • Laurent Ciman: The General marshaled the backline with his usual blend of skill and leadership. His ability to play assured on the ball helped give LAFC the edge in possession and work in building up plays.
  • Mark-Anthony Kaye: Played a good two-way game in midfield, helping to lock down Portland’s attack and trying to stretch their defense with some forays forward.
  • Tyler Miller: Six saves, all of them vital to preserve a point and clean sheet. Miller posts his second consecutive stellar start.
