Vote: LAFC Man of the Match vs. Minnesota

Not a lot to write home about, but who was the best?

MLS: Los Angeles FC at Minnesota United FC Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Football Club struggled mightily in a 5-1 loss against Minnesota United FC in Minneapolis on Sunday.

Truthfully, there wasn’t much to write home about. The defense put in one of their worst performances of the season. The attack in the final third was nearly nonexistent and they never led in the game. Following the first 25 minutes, LAFC couldn’t find a toehold in the game or any kind of rhythm anywhere.

All that said, we still do Man of the Match awards, win, lose or draw. Here are the nominees from this somber performance, as selected by Angels on Parade staff:

  • Latif Blessing: Set up LAFC’s only goal.
  • Benny Feilhaber: Scored the goal for LAFC.
  • Diego Rossi: Led the team in shots on the day.

Again, a tough game, but which player deserves at least some recognition here? Cast your vote and let us know in the comment section below.
