A day after being named to the MLS Team of the Week, Los Angeles Football Club forward Adama Diomande has been voted MLS Player of the Week for Week 18 of the 2018 regular season.
Diomande scored three goals in LAFC’s 4-1 win over the Philadelphia Union on Saturday, notching the expansion team’s first-ever hat trick in the process. He is the second LAFC player to earn Player of the Week honors, after Diego Rossi won in Week 2.

Congrats to @LAFC's Adama Diomande!https://t.co/I9VcZL8emC
Diomande now has seven goals in his first five MLS games, becoming the first player in league history to reach that mark.
All in all, it’s been a stellar start for the Norwegian. He’ll have plenty more chances to pick up more goals, as LAFC have a busy month with six games across all competitions.
Congratulations to Adama, and hopefully we see more success for him and LAFC.
