Los Angeles Football Club looked to be well on their way to winning comfortably against the Houston Dynamo in Houston on Tuesday, but it went all wrong as two goals conceded deep in stoppage time lead to a 2-2 draw.
While the defensive performance left plenty to be desired, the attack was strong throughout and again, should have done enough to grab three points. With that, let’s go over the nominees for LAFC Man of the Match, as selected by Angels on Parade staff:
- Latif Blessing: Had the opening goal for LAFC, on a stellar run to beat the defense in the opening minutes. Here’s hoping he won’t be out for long after getting injured in the game.
- Adama Diomande: Scorer turned provider, Dio assisted on both of LAFC’s goals to continue his hot start to life in MLS.
- Mark-Anthony Kaye: Playing very aggressive on the attack in this match, the midfielder converted one of his breakaway chances to put LAFC ahead 2-0.
- Aaron Kovar: Put in his best showing for LAFC since his shift in the Borussia Dortmund friendly, offering width and support for the visitors’ attack.
