Orange County SC posted what can be called a statement win on Saturday, beating Phoenix Rising FC 4-3 in Arizona. It wasn’t always pretty, but they got it done, and one of the stars from the game was recognized for his performance.
Forward Michael Seaton was named to the USL Team of the Week for Week 22 of the 2018 regular season on Tuesday. Seaton had a hand in all three goals that came in the run of play, with two goals and an assist (the fourth was a penalty converted by Aodhan Quinn).
The 22-year-old, in his first season with Orange County, has settled in nicely. After a bit of a bumpy start where the effort was there but not quite the finished product, Seaton has really stepped up the past several weeks, and he now sits second on the team with seven goals scored, behind only USL Golden Boot co-leader Thomas Enevoldsen’s 13 tallies. The duo seemed to have figured out how to play together, and that should bode well for Orange County SC the rest of the way.
Congrats to Michael, and long may the honors continue for OCSC.
