Full time: LAFC 2, RSL 0. Back in the win column and it feels so good! Christian Ramirez makes his mark. Thanks for following along to LAFC’s workmanlike win this evening.
30th minute: GOOOOOOOOOOOOAL LAFC! Ramirez grabs a second goal, a tap-in from a low cross by Eduard Atuesta. Looking good so far.
13th minute: GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL LAFC! Vela sets up Ramirez again, and no chalking this one off, as Ramirez scores his first goal for his new team.
8th minute: No goal! The AR with a very, very late flag on Christian Ramirez’s goal, apparently for Carlos Vela being offside in the build-up. A puzzling call but no can do for LAFC on this one after VAR.
LAFC are basically going for it here, with what pretty much looks like a full-strength lineup:
Both teams will be looking to return to the win column, after LAFC lost for the first time at home on Saturday, a 2-0 loss against Sporting Kansas City, while RSL tied the Montreal Impact 1-1 at home on Saturday.
While LAFC blew RSL away 5-1 way back in March, believe it or not they are right next to each other in the standings, LAFC leading RSL by one point as they sit side by side in fifth and sixth place. This game is pretty massive for both teams.
Injury statuses remain the same for LAFC, with Adama Diomande still listed as questionable, while RSL has a bunch of injuries, but none to current starters on Mike Petke’s team. Neither team has any suspensions. Tristan Blackmon won’t be available for Bob Bradley since he was loaned to Phoenix Rising FC on Wednesday.
