Vote: LAFC Man of the Match vs. RSL

Which player stood out for the black-and-gold?

MLS: Seattle Sounders at Los Angeles FC Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Los Angeles Football Club needed a win, and they posted one on Wednesday, defeating Real Salt Lake 2-0 at Banc of California Stadium. Two goals from Christian Ramirez made the difference on the night.

With LAFC back in the win column, it’s time to settle in and pick a Man of the Match for the black-and-gold. As always, the nominees were selected by Angels on Parade staff:

  • Jordan Harvey: The defender continued his steady play, never flashy, but he helped stymie RSL’s attack and posted a much-appreciated clean sheet on the backline.
  • Christian Ramirez: The forward did what he was brought in to do, in scoring goals. His brace early on helped set the tone and allowed the team to do the rest to seal the victory. Also, did you see his touch on the first goal?!
  • Carlos Vela: Set up Ramirez’s first goal and sorta dummied the second. Would be nice to see him back scoring himself, but Vela is clearly pulling the strings for LAFC.
