Los Angeles Football Club goalkeeper Tyler Miller was named to the Major League Soccer Team of the Week this week.

Miller picked up his second straight clean sheet after LAFC dropped the Colorado Rapids 2-0 at Banc of California Stadium Sunday night, following up a 2-0 shutout win over Real Salt Lake on Wednesday.

It was his eighth shutout of the season for the Black-and-Gold. That puts him a tie for third in MLS this season.

So far this season, Miller has 85 saves — fifth-best in MLS. It’s his first season as a starter at the pro level for the 25-year-old.

Also added to the Team of the Week was LAFC forward Christian Ramirez.

Ramirez earned the nod after his brace in LAFC’s win over Real Salt Lake last weekend. It was just his second match for LAFC after moving over from Minnesota United earlier this month.
