USL announced on Tuesday that Orange County SC forward Michael Seaton was voted USL Player of the Week for Week 23 of the 2018 regular season, after scoring two goals and an assist in a home win over Las Vegas Lights FC on Wednesday.
The Jamaican international has really come on in recent weeks, and the Player of the Week selection follows up his USL Team of the Week selection last week. He’s scored four goals in his last two appearances, and is now up to nine goals in league play this season, behind only Thomas Enevoldsen on the team.
Speaking of, Seaton is the second Orange County player to be named USL Team of the Week this season, after Enevoldsen notched that honor early in the season. Enevoldsen was named to the Team of the Week bench for this week for his performance in the Vegas win.
Orange County are back in action on Wednesday in Portland, against a solid Timbers 2 team. Seaton used to play for the Timbers — can he keep his roll going? Either way, congrats to Michael for the league honor.
