As expected, more reports have emerged regarding Laurent Ciman’s transfer rumors. The Los Angeles Football Club captain, who was benched on Friday for El Trafico against the LA Galaxy, in part reportedly due to transfer rumor speculation, now appears to be nearing the exit this week.

Kevin Baxter of the Los Angeles Times reported on Twitter on Monday morning that Ciman’s transfer to Ligue 1 side Dijon was “95% complete.”

Baxter emphasized this deal wasn’t done, but did subsequently tweet that it “looks imminent” according to a team official.

Following Baxter’s first Tweet about it on Monday, Montreal-based broadcaster Nicolas Martineau, who broke the news that Dijon was one of the teams interested in Ciman over the weekend, Tweeted out that the transfer was a “done deal” and will be announced on Wednesday.

Martineau later tweeted that Dijon offered Ciman family support services, to assist in particular Ciman’s daughter, who has autism.

So official word has not yet broken, but even the reporter expressing caution was earlier indicating it’s 95% done. As Baxter says, you never know, but with the French transfer window closing on Friday all signs point to this wrapping up very soon.

We’ll keep you posted on additional developments in this story.
