Orange County SC are back in action, going up the road to Fresno to take on Fresno FC at their park for the first time, on Sunday evening.
In the teams’ first meeting, back in May in Irvine, OC won 3-0, scoring early, late and in between, and Fresno were kept in check. The expansion team is on the outside looking in in the playoff picture, but if they can rattle off a winning streak they could yet sneak in. Led by Argentine playmaker Juan Pablo Caffa, the Foxes have struggled with consistency this season, but they’ve been solid at home this season so don’t expect they’ll just roll over against Orange County.
However, OCSC have been strong on the road, with an impressive 7-4-2 mark to date away from home. So just because Fresno have been decent, that doesn’t mean OC don’t have a shot on their opponent’s park. Should be an interesting game.
