Los Angeles Football Club delivered happiness in their latest brunchtime game action, beating the San Jose Earthquakes 2-0 in the matinee kickoff on Saturday.
The goals came from Walker Zimmerman, of all people, scoring his first career brace and his first goals for LAFC, both off corner kicks.
So now it’s your turn to tell us who you think deserves Man of the Match honors for this game. The nominees, as voted by Angels on Parade staff:
- Diego Rossi: No goals or assists on the day, but stretched the field and gave San Jose’s defense fits, setting the tone in his 65 minutes of action.
- Carlos Vela: Two assists, almost a golazo in the opening minutes, and plenty of fun plays from the captain.
- Walker Zimmerman: A clean sheet and two goals. Pretty much a perfect day for the central defender.
So who gets your vote? Cast your ballot and spread the word!
