Orange County SC come back to action for another midweek game, as they head to Sin City to take on Las Vegas Lights FC Wednesday night.
The teams are at opposite ends of the Western Conference, with OCSC sitting atop the pack and hoping to keep hold of their first-place spot, and Las Vegas third from bottom. They parted ways with Chelís last week, but it appears his son, Isidro Sanchez, remains the head coach of the team.
This will be Orange County’s first trip to Vegas, the venue whose home games most resemble a carnival — for better and worse — in the league. Since it’s a late Wednesday game, it’s unclear if they’ll be doing money drops, disco demolition night, or any other kind of wacky promotion, but I say let Vegas fly their freak flag as much as they wish.
One familiar face, Carlos Alvarez, is suspended for the game for Las Vegas, so he will not be able to face his former team. Orange County have been on a roll lately, but Vegas are surely looking to play spoilers, and it will be up to Braeden Cloutier’s side to stay on track.
Tale of the Tape:

Las Vegas Lights: 28 points (7-15-7), 15th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: -21; Last five games: D-L-L-L-D
