Orange County SC remain atop the USL Western Conference with two games left in their regular-season slate, but following their latest win they have clinched one more advantage for the playoffs ahead.

Their 5-3 win over Las Vegas Lights FC in Vegas on Wednesday clinched a home playoff game for OCSC, according to a team spokesperson. Tickets for the playoffs will go on sale next week, be on the lookout for more information from Orange County SC’s social media channels.

OCSC aren’t yet assured of home-field advantage through the Western Conference side of the playoff bracket yet, as they have a four-point advantage over second-place Phoenix Rising FC right now, but Phoenix have two games in hand at the moment. So OC can help their quest to finish atop the West by winning out, but they need Phoenix to drop points in their remaining games, too.

Still, a home playoff game has technically never happened for Orange County, who had to relinquish hosting rights last time they won the West due to venue issues, and then they promptly lost that playoff game. So this is a big accomplishment for OCSC, and we’ll see if they can rack up more home-field advantage in the rest of the season.
