It’s the day before a game, so we get an updated Los Angeles Football Club injury report, and I have some bad news.
Latif Blessing is the latest addition to the LAFC injury list, as he’s posted as out for Saturday’s game against the Chicago Fire with a left hip flexor strain. The attacker started the last game, LAFC’s 2-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes at The Banc.
There are options, but don’t be surprised if another striker starts in Blessing’s place, and if there’s a shift in the formation. We’ll see!
The rest of the absences are the same, as Danilo Silva is out again this week with “hamstring irritation.” Expect Dejan Jakovic to start in central defense once again in Silva’s place.
Otherwise, Aaron Kovar is out with knee irritation, and long-term absences Mark-Anthony Kaye (broken ankle) and Quillan Roberts (broken leg) remain out. But LAFC’s Vince La Rosa reported this week that both Kaye and Roberts have made progress in recent weeks in their rehab from their respective injuries, which is great to hear.
On the bright side, there are no players in the questionable bucket for the Fire game.
