Los Angeles Football Club announced on Tuesday they have loaned defender Tristan Blackmon and forward Josh Perez to Phoenix Rising FC for the rest of the 2018 season. The loan includes a right to recall at any time, and MLS’s roster freeze for the 2018 season comes in 10 days.
Blackmon returns to Phoenix after a previous loan spell last month, where he played two games for the USL outfit, both big wins. The rookie, selected No. 3 overall by LAFC in the 2018 MLS Draft, was recalled by the MLS team and came off the bench to play three minutes in Saturday’s 4-2 win on the road over Toronto FC.

Perez joins Phoenix for the first time, having signed with LAFC during the summer transfer window from Serie A outfit Fiorentina. The Southern California native has yet to play for LAFC, but the 20-year-old is likely one for the future with the black-and-gold, as the club is likely looking for contributions down the road from him.
Both players are eligible to play for Phoenix in their next game, on Wednesday in USL regular season play against Rio Grande Valley FC in Arizona.
