Another month has passed in the MLS season, and Los Angeles Football Club had a very active time, going 2-3-1 across two competitions. While their time in the U.S. Open Cup ended in August with a semifinal exit, they bounced back in the league and posted an unbeaten run to enter the penultimate month of the regular season.
So, it’s time to vote for LAFC Player of the Month. As always, all players who played any competitive minutes for the team during the month are in the running, but here were the Man of the Match winners for each game as possible guidance:
- Aug. 5: 2-1 loss at New York Red Bulls - Diego Rossi
- Aug. 8: 1-1 draw, 7-6 penalty shootout loss at Houston Dynamo (U.S. Open Cup) - Diego Rossi
- Aug. 11: 2-0 loss vs. Sporting Kansas City - Danilo Silva
- Aug. 15: 2-0 win vs. Real Salt Lake - Christian Ramirez
- Aug. 19: 2-0 win vs. Colorado Rapids - Lee Nguyen
- Aug. 24: 1-1 draw at LA Galaxy - Lee Nguyen
