Orange County SC will look to bounce back from a midweek loss on the road with another road game against a team also jockeying for a home playoff game, in Sacramento Republic on Saturday night.
The teams enter the game level on points, Sacramento ahead in the Western Conference standings with one more win this season. With both teams looking to get the best possible seed for the USL Championship Playoffs, not to mention a possible playoff clash coming in a few weeks, this is a good test for both sides.
These teams actually played to a scoreless draw in their first meeting this year, in late July in Irvine. This time, Orange County will see a familiar face for the first time, as their leading scorer in 2018, Thomas Enevoldsen, made a midseason move from Indy Eleven to Sacramento. He’s been hot lately and one figures he’ll have extra motivation to score on his old team (and he thrives on extra motivation).
Can Orange County get another win with the playoffs fast approaching? Can they get a good result on a NorCal rival? We’ll find out Saturday night.

Sacramento Republic: 48 points (14-12-6), 5th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: +11; Last five games: W-D-L-D-W
