El Trafico? Here it comes.

MLS: LA Galaxy at Los Angeles FC Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Bring it on.

In what is sure to be the most hyped playoff game of the conference semifinals, Los Angeles Football Club will host the LA Galaxy on Thursday, after the Galaxy beat Minnesota United 2-1 on Sunday, the only road team to win in the opening round.

The game will be the third of the season between the teams, and sixth all time, although the first playoff meeting between the local rivals. The Galaxy won 3-2 at their stadium in July, before the teams drew 3-3 in August at The Banc.

On one side, the Galaxy have never lost to LAFC. On the other, LAFC won the Supporters’ Shield in record-breaking fashion this season. Both teams will be up for it. Both will like their chances. The latest chapter in the El Trafico saga is here, and with it, a chance for LAFC to get their sweetest win ever. We know you’re up for this one. Let’s do this.
