How to Watch Orange County SC vs. OKC Energy FC

Can OCSC book their playoff ticket?

Orange County SC will look to bounce back from the loss that snapped their long winning streak last week in Texas to RGVFC, by hosting OKC Energy FC Saturday night at Orange County Great Park.

OCSC lost 2-0 to Rio Grande Valley last week, with Michael Orozco picking up a stoppage-time red card, meaning he’ll be out for this game (and the next one, he’s suspended two games). The veteran has played a big role in Orange County’s revival this season, but on the bright side, the team will welcome back two other players suspended last week, midfielders Aodhan Quinn and Harry Forrester, which should provide a boost.

OKC, meanwhile, are below the playoff line in 14th place, but they’re actually just three points under, so a win could offer a huge boost. They haven’t won in their last five, but they beat Orange County in the teams’ first match this season, a 4th-minute goal by Alvin Jones making the difference in Oklahoma back in April. Can Orange County get revenge for that loss? They’re in far better form now, but need to recover after last week’s strange game.

One more note: Orange County SC could clinch a playoff spot this week, if they beat OKC and results by Las Vegas Lights and Phoenix Rising go the way they need them to. It may or may not happen on the night, but after a rough opening half to the season, Orange County are on the cusp of booking a return to the postseason, and see if they can better the run they made in 2018. Stay tuned.

Tale of the Tape:

Orange County SC: 45 points (12-9-9), 7th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: +8; Last five games: L-W-W-W-W

OKC Energy FC: 38 points (9-11-11), 14th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: -7; Last five games: L-D-L-L-D
