The results are in and Eddie Segura was voted LAFC’s top Newcomer in 2019.

Though Segura is technically a newcomer, he did play on loan with LAFC last season.

Segura helped solidify what was a leaky backline last year, and with 54% of the vote he was the runaway winner of this award.

Brian Rodriguez came in at the No. 2 spot with 14% of the vote. While he was only on the team a few months this season, Rodriguez was a spark for the offense and had great attacking play on the wing. His stats will only improve this season after he has a full preseason with LAFC.

Coming in 3rd was Pablo Sisniega with 11% of the vote. Sisniega was an impressive talent at goalkeeper, and he filled in well as the starter while Tyler Miller was at the Gold Cup. Sisniega split time with Miller through the rest of the season, and it wouldn’t be a shock if he was the starter next season for LAFC.

Rounding out the top 5 are Adrien Perez and Rodolfo Zelaya, both tied at 9%. Both Perez and Zelaya were forwards who saw limited time off the bench, though Perez played more out of the two. They were solid backups for the forward line players for LAFC, and could have more of a role with the team next season.

Congrats again to Eddie Segura for being voted Top Newcomer for LAFC in 2019!
