TOKiMONSTA represents LAFC in new MLS campaign

MLS released a new “Our Soccer” promotional campaign ahead of the 2019 season, and the new edition features some Los Angeles Football Club representation, through local native and cool-ass DJ and producer TOKiMONSTA.

I’ll be honest, I’m not sure based on this if she actually is much of a soccer fan. However, I think the fact that she’s not out here doing the Drake “You are my favorite team! No, you are my favorite team!” pandering is certainly to her credit.

Also, it’s nice for the musical artist repping the black-and-gold in this campaign to be a) local; b) a person of color; c) a woman; d) someone who makes cool music that sounds like Los Angeles.

Anyway, if you’re not familiar with her work and you like dance/experimental R&B, get to your streaming service of choice and check it out. And hope we see her at an LAFC game at some point.
