LAFC Podcast Wrap: President and falconer and gameday production, oh my!

An eclectic mix of aural content.

MLS: Los Angeles FC at Los Angeles Galaxy Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

It’s hard work (not really) but we’re here to do it. Here’s a fresh LAFC podcast wrap ahead of the weekend.

Defenders of the Banc

Filly and The Scarf interview LAFC’s falconer, Ken Miknuk. An interesting interview, as Miknuk is an interesting guy and always seems to have a good quote at the ready.

Heart of LAFC

Another two-episode week for this show. Jerry, Josef and Benjamin do a deep dive on LAFC’s preseason loss to the San Jose Earthquakes and the state of the roster in the first.

In their one on one pod this week, Jerry talks to the new president of The 3252, Jimmy Lopez, who talks about how he got into following MLS, his famous marriage proposal, and his aims as the group’s leader.

Soccer Weekly

Dave Denholm has a good interview with ESPN’s Sebastian Salazar, as they talk several key MLS Eastern Conference topics. He also speaks to LAFC’s Vince La Rosa, who talks about some of the hot topics for the team in preseason, including some insight on why Andre Horta may be poised to really click this year with his team.

FCFC podcast

The guys talk to Al Raitt, who runs gameday production for LAFC. A nice peek at the behind the scenes action of the people who actually make that ambiance in The Banc (aside from the fans, of course).

LAFC Season Pass

The reporters go over the San Jose loss, preview Saturday’s Vancouver friendly, and do some lineup projecting. One tidbit: They sound high on the prospect of Eddie Segura being a starter, based on what Bob Bradley has said about him. Like we were just saying...

Shoulder 2 Shoulder

The guys talk to co-founders of Los Angelinos Originales supporters group. It’s an interesting interview because it offers some insight of the process of trying to get into The 3252, if you’re not well versed on that process.
