As Los Angeles Football Club progress in the 2019 preseason, more news emerges for the players unsigned in camp.

This week, we learned that two more players have departed LAFC training camp: midfielder Conor O’Brien and forward Ricky Lopez-Espin, as reported by team reporter Vince La Rosa. O’Brien, a trialist, and Lopez-Espin, an unsigned player who had been selected by LAFC in the Waiver Draft in December, join defender Amadou Dia, midfielder Baggio Husidic and forward Kevin Mendoza as unsigned players who have departed since the start of preseason.

That leaves two 2019 MLS Draft picks, midfielder Javi Perez and midfielder Peter-Lee Vassell, as well as trialists Alejandro Guido (M), Lamar Batista (D), Wade Hamilton (GK), Philip Ejimadu (GK) and Adrien Perez (F) as still in camp as of the end of the week, looking for a contract with LAFC.

In addition, while the team has not publicly confirmed the presence of Mexican goalkeeper Pablo Sisniega, reports indicate he’s joined or will be joining LAFC camp to seek a spot on the roster, and a source confirmed those reports to Angels on Parade. There’s obviously always a chance another player could jump into the fray on trial, too.

LAFC have 21 players under contract at present, so several players who remain in camp have a good shot of earning a deal. But there’s still work to do, so we’ll see what happens.
