Orange County SC continued their signing spree this week, by announcing on Friday the addition of forward Kevin Coleman after a preseason trial.
The 21-year-old joins after turning pro in Germany and spending the last three years there, in Kaiserslautern’s youth ranks before moving on to regional league side SpVgg Bayreuth.
“I’m happy that we were able to sign Kevin,” said OCSC head coach Braeden Cloutier in a statement. “He came to us in preseason and made an immediate impact with his pace and ability to score goals.”
“I am very excited and grateful to have signed a professional contract with Orange County Soccer Club,” said Coleman. “I want to thank God, my family, friends, and coaches for their support through this journey. I would also like to thank Orange County for this great opportunity. I am excited for the season and can’t wait to get started!”
Coleman is listed as a forward, but his available statistics indicate he could be more of an all-around attacker and/or a winger, but we’ll see. His first chance to play for his new team is on Saturday, when Orange County SC host Tulsa Roughnecks in the 2019 USL Championship season’s home opener.
