Los Angeles Football Club went out on the road and notched their first draw of the season on Sunday, as they tied New York City FC 2-2. Carlos Vela had a brace to cancel out goals from Alexandru Mitrita and Alexander Ring.
With the game in the books, we need your help to determine the LAFC Man of the Match. The nominees, as selected by Angels on Parade staff:
- Latif Blessing: Getting the start in midfield, Blessing put in a surprisingly robust two-way shift. He had the assist on Vela’s opener and drew the penalty, so his day was very active.
- Tyler Miller: Goalkeepers have an outsized impact at Yankee Stadium and Miller was up to the challenge, making four saves on the day while coming out to claim several more crosses and balls in the box.
- Carlos Vela: Both goals for the visitors to ensure the points are split. Vela was a clear highlight, even if he didn’t get full freedom to run riot.
