The common thread throughout many of the Los Angeles Football Club podcasts this week is that there aren’t enough LAFC players making the MLS Team of the Week. Sure, a player or two have made it every week so far this season, but come on, can’t all of the players make it?!
This humble correspondent plays a big role in creating the MLS Team of the Week, if you didn’t know. Not sure if all of these shows know that or not, but it feels like #LAFCPodFam is trying to lobby the persons who run that. Rest assured, I’m aware of how well all the LAFC players are playing right now. But with 24 teams in MLS now and typically a minimum of 11 games weekly, there are a lot of players competing for very few spots. Those of us who watch all the MLS games, are seeing how well LAFC is doing, don’t worry about that.

In a change from the usual format, the guys hang out at Free Play LA over the weekend and chat with a handful of people who are around. It’s very loose and freewheeling, but it’s a fairly entertaining half hour.
