The Sounders, meanwhile, have been hit hard by the injury bug, so they have arguably four reserves starting today, including a shock return for Roman Torres, who struggled badly last weekend. A quick chance at redemption, or another tough game ahead for the Panamanian?

For the second consecutive week, Los Angeles Football Club and Seattle Sounders FC will meet. This time, however, the clash between two of the Western Conference’s best will take place in the Emerald City.
Last Sunday, LAFC put forth an incredibly dominant performance, dismantling the Sounders by a tally of 4-1. Once again, the game was won in the midfield as Mark-Anthony Kaye and Eduard Atuesta proved themselves to be among the league’s elite at the position.
Kaye provided a hat-trick of assists, earning himself a spot on the MLS Team of the Week. Atuesta made an appearance on the scoresheet as he blasted a right-footed strike past the outstretched reach of Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei.
If Seattle expects to earn a better result this Sunday, they must concentrate their attention on limiting LAFC’s midfielders from having such direct impact in the final third.
In terms of injuries, midfielder Andre Horta is off the injury report and forward Adama Diomande has been upgraded to questionable for Sunday’s match. Once again, the anticipated LAFC debut of forward Rodolfo Zelaya is a possibility as his status remains questionable. The status of defender Steven Beitashour is also up in the air as he’s been listed questionable with knee soreness.
Sounders forward Will Bruin is “unlikely” as he recovers from a hamstring strain, while Victor Rodriguez (concussion) and Gustav Svensson (hamstring) are out.
Odds:
Vegas bookmakers currently favor the Sounders at (+140), while listing Los Angeles Football Club as (+175) underdogs. The odds for a draw are currently listed at (+260) (via Westgate Las Vegas).
How to Watch:
Sunday’s tilt between Los Angeles Football Club and the Seattle Sounders will be televised nationally by ESPN starting at 12:30 pm PT with kickoff to follow.
The game will also be carried by local radio affiliates ESPN 710 and KFWB 980.
