LAFC injury report: Nguyen, Horta, Zelaya remain out vs. D.C. United

Same as it ever was for the big game.

Los Angeles Football Club posted their injury report on Friday, and the list remains the same ahead of the D.C. United match on Saturday.

Midfielders Lee Nguyen and Andre Horta remain out, Nguyen with a calf injury and Horta with a quad strain. Forward Rodolfo Zelaya also remains out, also with a calf injury, so the Salvadoran’s MLS debut is not yet in play, Twitter rumors to the contrary during the week notwithstanding.

Midfielder Alejandro Guido, who has also yet to make his MLS debut, is listed as questionable again with a quad strain. Given Bob Bradley’s depth so far this season and the good start for the team, he has been reluctant to rush an injured player into the lineup, so it seems unlikely Guido will see action in Washington.

On the loan front, Phoenix Rising FC is back in action on Saturday, at home against Fresno FC, so some or all of LAFC’s loanees (Tristan Blackmon, Shaft Brewer, Jr., Javi Perez and Josh Perez) will likely be in Arizona after the USL Championship side was off last weekend (Brewer was in the 18 for LAFC in San Jose). Goalkeeper Phillip Ejimadu’s FC Tucson is off this weekend, but it seems unlikely he would return to LAFC given he’s the third-string GK and Tyler Miller and Pablo Sisniega definitely traveled to D.C.
