Orange County SC will look to turn the page on a difficult opening month of the USL Championship season, as they host Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC for the first time this season on Saturday evening.

The teams are in largely opposing form at the moment. Orange County have two draws and two losses, the most recent a loss in El Paso to the expansion Locomotive. While the team has made upgrades to the roster and many of those players are still settling in, the absences of Michael Seaton (although he came off the bench last week) and Aodhan Quinn seem to have really set back the group. Meanwhile, the defense and goalkeeping has seen ups and downs, but veteran Patrick McLain will likely be starting again at the back and with some more reps, he and the defense should be on the same page soon.

Colorado Springs have two wins in four games so far, including a comprehensive thrashing of LA Galaxy II in Carson. They have the reigning USL Championship Player of the Week in 16-year-old goalkeeper Abraham Rodriguez, who had a terrific professional debut against high-flying Phoenix Rising. So, this probably won’t be an easy game, but we know that when OCSC are playing their best, they are capable of beating anyone. Should be a good one.

Tale of the Tape:

Orange County SC: 2 points (0-2-2), 16th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: -4; Last four games: L-D-L-D

Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC: 7 points (2-1-1), 4th place in Western Conference; Goal Difference: +3; Last four games: D-W-L-W

How to Watch Orange County SC vs. Switchbacks FC: The game is scheduled to kick off at 7 pm PT at Championship Soccer Stadium in Irvine. You can watch the stream only on ESPN+.
